Bintan- The Expensive Island

Dar and I finally went on a getaway after much anticipation on deciding where to go for the last min weekend before i start a new journey at UOB.

Let me share abit of my decision to join UOB!
It has been almost one year that i spend doing property sales and rental as an agent in ERA having VERY flexible own time own target schedule. Basically one needs to have EXTREME Discipline to stay in the job and sad to say, I count myself a super lack of discipline person. Basically I’m more of a target driven person! 🙂

So After much consideration and support from family members, I’ve decided… Yes, I still want to be in a sales line and hence set forth the decision to embark on a journey of SPEED, STRESS and SALES as a PERSONAL BANKER!

So it’s no resting on weekends, chilling out with friends or family will be at night. No WEEKEND Brunch or Tim Sums. Yes, I need to forego all these. But I believe, it’s for a better tomorrow. 🙂

Baby and I have got big plans next year or probably in 2013. Have yet to see the fortune thingy for the dates though. So We’ve gotta see. 🙂

Back to BINTAN, Yes.. we had fun. But we returned with sunburns and a lobster face.Now, after 3 days back from the trip.. we’re like snakes! Peeling off skin.. YUCKs.! But we tried many sports games that we’ve never tried before.

I tried the flying fox thingy and BANANA Boat.. Weet! I like the banana boat but i tell you, it’s so tiring!!! HAhaha.. Pull u around with a speed boat out at sea. The banana boat will capsize anytime!

We did horse riding also.. hehe.. like little kid. But it was fun! Poor poney,seems like it was falling off and was tough riding on the uneven walk way.

There’s lots of stuffs that we tried there.. we had our first ever ATV ride! Dangerous, thrilling and FUN FUN FUN! 🙂 $60 per cart and off we go for a long 30min ride! It was quite tiring controlling the big vehicle.

We’ve got lotsa funny expressions! 🙂 hehe.. i like!:) So exciting! Quite worth the experience!

There’s not much of a choice for dining and we spent quite alot on it. A can of coke for $3 or $4! -_- Lobster for $70! haiz.. We’re so damn astonished by the price of food there.. but still, we ate our hearts filled. Holiday mood.. heh heh..

Heh.. as u see, it’s all above food, play and fun! If only everyday is like that… 🙂

A happy entry

I realised i always write whenever i’m alone, sad or happy.

Heh.. and yes! If you’ve guess it, i’m writing today out of the blue cos i’m Happy! 🙂

Just talked to my darling over the phone. He’s having his reservist for the next 3 LONG weeks! 😦 I’m going to miss him badly!

Having him by my side almost 12hours a day is a blessing and it seems that we’ve known each other for ages.. know about our bad habits inside out or probably even being appreciative of the accompany we have had for each other. Remembering the times we bicker, the ‘Happy’ fights we had, the giggles and moments we shared.

I would say we’re not a perfect couple, we quarrel 10% of the time spent. hahaa.. but guess there’s a reason why we’re still together…that’s Love 🙂 There may be differences but our love surpasses the differences we have had. Hope this faith stays we us now and tomorrow.

In the meantime, let me pray that these 3 weeks passes real fast. I wanna be in your arms again Baby! Hahha..

Our 3rd Anniversary

Yea.. i’m alive as you this entry. But not too sure after you read finish. 😛

Sounds like a suicidal note but on a happier note (not sure if i should be happy about this day) but indeed, it’s 3 rocky cum happening year!

There’re changes in what we pursue as a couple over the past 3 years and indeed, there’re bound to be quarrels now and then. But i must ask this question.

WHY TODAY??????!??!?!?! F***  Fine, yes, we’ve just quarrel over some minor issues as usual, don’t wish to rant abut it but just that at this hour and having no mood to do anything or keep myself occupied with collection photos etc, i decided, it’s time for me to write something on my abandoned blog.

I feel so sad that this blog is so empty now, which also means, there’s no surprise elements or butterflies in the stomach these past year. We’ve applied for house but didn’t have the luck to choose one though given a queue no. So issit the time to think about things if it’s meant to be??

I went to look at june 2009 Entry and realised,” AYE!” why didn’t i blog about last year anniversary??? *astonished*

And i actually forget what we did last year on 10 June 2009!!!!! This is real bad!!! I seriously don’t wish things like this to happen. So here i am, writing about How i feel or what is going to happen on this day.

2 years back entry shows that we went for the singapore flyers trip and our kenko fish spa + massage. It was indeed a well planned day + great day out! And also first time visiting Hooked on heads! 🙂 It was a budget but great place for dinner with good food! Everything seem to go well then.

Last year anniversary.. can’t quite remember. So Last skip that.

And…….. this year? Which is today??

I’ve got a date with my dearest QING AI DE, ” HUIPING / Charissa”! yes.. it’s going to my 3rd Year anniversary. And i tot oh well, since dar is going to have a well planned one tomorrow which is 11June for the replacement, i’m quite well aniticipating the day as well as our planned UNIVERSAL STUDIO trip!

But OH LALA!!! Just realised, dar actually didn’t book the tickets and we tot it could be purchased over at the counter. MY!! there’s goes our anniversary.. Argh.. not sure what to do already.

Aside the not so Planned anniversary replacement day, the worst thing happen which is our usual QUARREL!!!!!!!!!

Sigh.. and usually it will keep me awake cos i Don’t wanna have soar eyes tomorrow. Need to meet my property manager tomorrow morning.

And a little update of what i’m doing now ! I’m a property agent, and if you’ve got any frenz, relatives or whoever who wants to sell/rent/buy houses, do let me know!! I’m more than willing to help and offer my service 🙂

and not forgetting FASHIONPOD!! Yes, i love how it’s progressing now. We’ve got studio shots for the recent collection and intending to do so for the following. So far response is good and i hope the small business and interest i have for fashionpod will prosper!!! 😀

It’s also going to be FASHIONPOD’s first bdae on the 20th JUNE!!!!! And for anyone who reads this.. hehe.. a special announcement for you! There will be a crazy sale on the 20th JUNE!!! do keep a look out alrighty! 😀

Oh well, drifting away and back. Just wanna wish erm.. dar dar and me chang chang jiu jiu as possible.  Though he think likewise now. Hurrays to all the quarrels or watsoever.. I’m not going to give a damn!!!!!! Watever.

Place for Experience: Seletar Wings!

Hi Ppl, have you tried Seletar Wings??

I must say, they have really SPICY wings. (coming out from a spicy lover), probably you can imagine how spicy it can be! 😀

They have different level and from what i remember, their menu only have spicy wings up to level 10.

Above  10, u would proably appear on their board of fame! And most of them up there tried up to level 35.

If you’ve learnt about the girl on news who fainted after trying level 35, yeah.. imagine how HOT can it be to make someone faint!

Zheng wei (vivien’s darling) said you’ll hear the ” weng.Weng weng” sound if you try level 7 and above. You can try!! 😛 It makes your senses go numb and you can’talk, only to realise your saliva is dripping non-stop. ahah.. it’s quite sparstic to think about it. But it’s all for the experience.

Well, wasn’t that brave, so we tried only level 2, 3 and 5.

Teehee.. level 2 i must say is NOTHING, level 3 is SHIOK and level 5 is OMG.

A new chapter embarkment!

It’s really excited when you know you’re going to embark on something that you like! 🙂

Have been working with my current company for 1.5 months or more..closing to 2 years? And if you ask me what have i learnt or gained? I tell you.. it’s EXPERIENCE of course! but a good or a bad one? I would say SO SO…

But, I have embarked or something else than to lead a life of SO SO.. which many of you have learnt about it.. that is FASHIONPOD! 🙂 This is something that i like to do.. Selling apparals for shopaholics online! and also to satisfy my shopping cravings sometimes! 🙂 I like! Furthermore, making full use of my dslr? That’s why I’ve decided to embark on my online shop journey. Started last year on the 20th June 2009. Remember only having 10 mailing list members which is 90% my fren, advertising at peggy blog, a hefty sum for a short write up. and finally spending on Facebook in US dollars as an investment. The start up i must say, it’s not easy. All in all.. i was down 3K!!!

But hey! I believe hard work pays off and it does! Finally, I was break even like only in Jan 2010. Which means to say.. i took 1/2 year for business to be on track! 🙂 It’s very motivating when you see your mailing list members adding up to a few hundreds and being able to see more and more members adding you from dunno where. But glad there’re ppl who begins to know your blogshop. This is encouraging and you definitely feel a sense of achievement!! 🙂

Of course, hardwork does have results and also create problems like relationship fall out when you’re busy and tend to be in a foul mood. Often quarrel with PP dar when it comes to busy period, me having short tempered etc. we tend to quarrel more after i started this business. But so far, he has been very supportive! 🙂

And you know what, I’m gonna tell you something which u might think i’m crazy!!!!!

I’M EMBARKING ON SOMETHING ELSE AGAIN!!!!!

Yes.. and that is to join the real estate! 🙂 I like to sell but i like to help people as well 🙂 Life will be boring if you work for yourself. I wanna work for the better of my family, my kids in future and also of course for the well-being of myself and PP dar. SO, I’ve decided to be a real estate agent for a better LIFE! *grin*

So if you’re reading this and is supportive of me, do introduce more frenz to me who likes to sell/buy houses alrighty? Really appreciate it! 🙂

Ha.. so now, you see.. i’ve got 3 things at hand and i will do my best to balance everyone of them and do my best for now. Of course, i’m not an iron lady but this is for the start. For now, I can’t give up any of them.

Things have changed in the past 3 years.. I blog less often as I was quite occupied with my family, PP dar and work. Really wish i could blog as often as I used to. Reading back the entries bring back many fond memories!

I was just wondering, why my blog stats is not ZERO and who are the people who reads my blog every now and then.

Oh well, guess it’s only when they leave comments here that I know. 🙂 So if you’re reading my blog, could u at least tell me if i should write more often and bring life to this blog again? 😉 hee..

I’ve always wanted to set up a foodblog, just that i didn’t have the time to do so. 😦

My acquaitance with ladyironchef.com, really brought many beautiful accounters with yummy food for the past one year. Probably, i should really consider that. Any votes?

Been using my nikon D90 for the past 5 months and so far, it hasn’t given me any trouble after the servicing.

Now, i’m aiming for the 60mm f2.8 micro lens. *tempted* but it cost $960!! Ahh.. any sponsors out there? ahah

Thanks to ladyironchef, his comments and views did help quite abit of wat i need for an upgrade of lens!!! 🙂

Btw, aside from food. teehee.. Fashionpod will be @ Homeclub this weekend Sat 7th Nov 1-9pm!

My dailies with Fashionpod

Hello friends, I’m like finally back here.

Never leave my blog for so loong…:( but seem like i’ve been pretty occupied with work, Fashionpod’s launches.. looking for clothes supplier, advertising media, flea markets and shopping for wholesale clothes!

It’s the most fruitful yet busy year for me. But i’m enjoying every single thing i’m doing just for FASHIONPOD! 🙂

Well, u see that i’ve never really mention about my work. Yea.. I was given more job responsibilities at work. Handling a major offshore project is tough! and especially when there’s datelines! I dread my everydaY at work. Issit because it’s something that I dun enjoy doing? Or is it because of the environment and stress? I’m not sure actually.. but lucky, I’ve got something to look forward everyday after work!

Fashionpod is coming 4 months old.. and i see that I’ve got quite a few regular customers and I’m glad to see that some people are really supportive of me. I’ve got lotsa feedbacks about the tough competition out there, but still i’m hanging on to it as I’m really enjoying what i’m doing right now.

Of course, i’m glad i’ve got two pretty models with me right now. Helping me up with the photoshoot. They’ve been very supportive, coorperative and spontaneous!! I like them very much and i really appreciate their help all these while.

Not forgetting PP dar.. he has been with me for the past 4 months, fetching me here and there to get goods, delivering clothes to my customers for bulk order, accompanying me for fleas, buying goods and giving comments or feedbacks. I love you! 🙂

Beautiful Surprise

Hee.. dar surprised me once again! 🙂 this time round, it was two beautiful blouses! and they are really pretty for work and for casual wear as well. I’m a happy girl.

Heh.. been missing for action quite some time.. busy with work and other than that, i’ve taken up golf lessons once a week! Will be at the green fairways almost wednesday! and surprising.. the 60s Seafood restuarant there serve nice yummy cheap crabs! ha.. We’ve (me and dar) been hunting for yummy food.. and tried a wide range of food across singapore. Almost have the urge to set up a food blog.. and to think of it, I should get my Nikon D90 first (recommended by dar). Since, i’m pretty into DSLR camera nowadays.

The day at Haji Lane with Chee’s frenz.. experimenting Cannon DSLR camera and taking shots in the Egytian Street was great~ Can’t wait to own one as well.. am looking forward to that. But first of, I’ve gotta save a huge amt of $$…. near to $2K for the lens and camera etc. any sponsors? 😛

Life has been pretty good for me, having love ones around me… spending my everyday fruitful with dearest dar.. seems like I’ve been enjoying every part of it be it bickering with him or spending good times together. Thinking of it, it seems like we’ve known each other for ages.. though only coming 2 years. ha

Recieved a mail from my boss today.. on the beautiful things in life. It was a string of beautifully taken pictures which we often miss looking at it in our hectic lives. And having the opportunity to recieve that, I took some time to read the notes in it and it enlightened me alot. Life is beautiful and we should be glad that we’re living in this beautiful world.

Though this year supposedly it’s bad for cows like me.. due to ‘Fan tai sui’ and all.. the economic downturn.. etc.. I’m glad that so far everything went smoothly for me.

Although i didn’t do well for my presentation for my management trainee to MD.. but it turn out that i’m confirmed by the company. And the fact that not all are confirmed, i count myself lucky. Probably i’ve lucky stars around me.. like PP dar. *grin*

Sad yet happy for you

I’m sad cos you’ve been so busy with work, tired yourself over work. Stressed up cos of work.

But yet, i’m happy for you cos u find the joy in ur work. Happy for you cos you know wat you want.

So contradicting isn’t it?

On the contrary, i’m busy cos of work.. but yet, not gonna let work make me so busy that i forego time spent with you. and Do i really know what i want? Yes? no? Do i find the joy in my work? Hmmz..

I only know that I want the company to confirm me. Haha.. cos confirmation matters alot to me.

Stable job, higher pay, better benefits, feel more recognised etc..

Alive and Kicking!

Finally, I have the time and mood to blog about things .

Today took mc from work, so i’ve the time to blog now.. hee..

Let me update you the stuffs that happen recently.

1. Firstly, it’ 2009! Been working for the past 6 months! time flies.. and somethings which really affects me at work is.

– less time with family and frenz

-probation for bloody long 6 months.. ( excitedly thought that probation is ending since i’ve handed in my management trainee report) but recieved bad news from management that there will be extention for those under mgt trainee programme. WTF.

– extend probation means no bonus.. no THREE months bonus lor! Super LOOGI i tell you. I’m so sad. 😦

– the stupid economy is giving me a hardlife!  further from reaching my savings goal!

2. Secondly, Moving house means harder to get to work. Though i’ve got shuttle bus but i still gotta wake up extremely early. 😦 TIRED AH!

3. Thirdly, I’m glad that my brother has moved on to primary 5 (normal /express stream) ! A chance for him to work harder.. 🙂 and hope he dun give trouble to us!!

4. My sis bf bought her a new volkswagon car due the COE drop.. So pretty 😉 and they’re planning to get married next yr.

5. Dar has been working really hard in his company.. doing OT and enjoying his workscope. I’m glad for him .. just hope he wun get retrench during this retrenchment period. 😀

Been lost

I’ve been lost for quite sometime. Quess it’s time to be alive and kicking! 😀

Busy with work for the past few months.. rushing reports and projects.. doing my management trainee report. & yes.. i’ve moved house! away from ULU jurong.. teehehee..

Yesterday hasn’t been a good day for me. It ended off DEAD -__-. and i hate the feeling.. being unable to sleep well at night. dread to wake up in the wee hours.. but well, I shouldn’t be complaining when i’m fortunately still employed.

Went to look at my blog stats just now and i see there’s a decline of visitors! haha.. think most of you had almost given up on my blog. It’s unlikely for Meiting not to blog for 2 months? or you might be guessing, what have i been doing?

Will keep you guys update soon! *promise* but well, u can always ask me out for drinks or chats… 🙂

I miss my frenz too.. working sux!

On a better note: COngratulations to my cousin April for her amazing achievement for the O levels scoring 8 points! 🙂

and to my bestie.. Vivien for completing her play ” Blood ties”. It was better than i expected at first. *hug hug*

I am really looking forward to the 5 days straight CNY holidays that i have from Sat-wed. *grin*

Super happy for flor!! ahah.and i’m so excited now..cos i’ll be meeting her later. As agreed by vien, it’s gonna be the best meet up ever!!!!!!!!!!

It’s really cool to learnt that your best friend’s gonna get married sooN! ahaha..and to see her on newspaper..being proposed by her bf~ with surprises and most imptly, sincerity!!!! 😀 super cool~can’t believe her bf will come up with such sweet stuffs!!!!! can’t wait to attend the love birds wedding! hahahahA!!! Though it was written that they might hold chinese wedding ceremony in 1 or 2 yrs time.. i believe it’s gonna be earlier than mine =( ahaha.. still, am looking forward to it!!!
